Among the options is the Mutual Way-sponsored Cool Tools for Cool Kids program, which allows customers of Publix to a halt by Gwinnett County stores and drop off school supplies in “School Tools” bins.
In a individual back-to-school supply drive effort, donations will be welcomed through Tuesday at Gwinnett Place Mall in Duluth and at Mall of Georgia in Buford as part of the Diversity of Georgia effort.
Items accepted for all back-to-school drives include pens, pencils, notebook disquisition, glue, crayons, colored pencils, erasers, folders, rulers and binders.
Volunteers will also be needed for the Unperturbed Tools for Cool Kids program to help sort supplies and prepare them for distribution between Aug. 15-30. To blink up, email volunteer@unitedwayatlanta.org.
According to a news release, United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta mobilizes people “to servants tackle the issues that are too big for anyone to solve alone.”

The annual Tools For Schools lane, sponsored by the St. Johns County Education Foundation, is under way and will run through Aug. 19. Supplies ranging from pencils and erasers to binders and records are greatly appreciated and will be distributed to teachers at public schools in St. Johns County via a "school equipping shopping spree" on Aug. 31.
In the northwest area of St. Johns County, collection sites embody Winn-Dixie, Curves of Fruit Cove, Regions Bank, St. Johns Golf & Outback Club, Switzerland Community Church, Watson Realty and the Julington Creek division of the St. Johns County Tax Collector's office (at Flora Branch Boulevard). For a complete index of collection locations and a supply wish list, visit www.sjcef.com/events/tools-for-schools .
