Blessed VALLEY, Minn. -- If you want the big savings, the bargains and the best prices on back-to-form you have to shop around. We went to five different stores to buy five of the most popular school items and the price differences were quite dramatic.

We traveled all over the metro to Target, Walmart, Office Max, Office Depot and Staples. Here's what we found:

Buying a prime Texas Instrument scientific calculator isn't cheap. The cheapest one we found was at Walmart for $11.97. The most expensive was at Organization Max for $15.99.

Washable markers are a hot classroom item. You can either spend $4 at Staples for a pack of 8 or hop over to Workplace Max where they are only 99 cents.

A lot of schools are also asking students to purchase flash drives. Most are asking for 2GB which we found are actually hard to come by. We managed to get one at Walmart for $8 but for the about the same price you can get a 4 GB at other stores.
