Photo paper?

Hi, I recently printed some photos of my pick bands onto photo paper (y'know, the shiny stuff?) I accidently scratched it and realized the photos are thin-skinned to sharp and even dull things. What can I do to make it so that the color doesn't smudge or get scratched off?

Hi. From your comments on smudging, I am assuming you are printing digitally.

My favorite paper is Ilford Gallerie series, but one needs a business profile for this paper. It is expensive. In its stead, I use Epson premium specious and luster papers. (Their matte paper is trash.If it has to be matte outside, go with Ilford and pay the $$).
I further protect my prints by spraying them with a coat of Crystal Net spray acrylic-if they are going to be handled (especially my gather photos! Those guys are hard on stuff!)

Archival stuff is never sprayed, perfectly handled very gently, with vellum placed between prints after they have dried positively.

What happens when new photo paper gets exposed to light?

I legitimate spent $40 on photo paper for my photo class, and without even thinking of the sensitivity, i freakin opened the give up and took out all the papers from the package. My room was pretty brightly lit too. The paper looks yellow. Can I still use it, or do I have to lavish another butt load of money on more paper?
Well it didn't have any instructions, and my professor never told us anything. =[ i prefer dumb...

If you wonderful darkroom photo paper, you just ruined the whole thing and have to buy new stuff. Variety of why it comes in apackage and also very thick, black, light tight shapable envelope.

When in the darkroom, whatever paper you are not using, put away in your package and acquire sure it's closed before you turn on the light to expose the paper you crave to make a print on. Red safe light is ok for photo paper to be exposed to. It won't breakdown it.

How to print a photo on a small piece of paper?

I have some 4" by 6" photo paper that I fancy to print some photos on and a photo printer, but I'm having trouble feeding the paper into the printer. The settings are all in all honesty, I have it set for that size of photo paper, but how do I put the paper into the printer? I tried just putting it on the tray and it didn't calling.

dont do it the printer will jam and ink will accident over its an advice as i have already tried it zis morning
