Color Pencils?

What are your favorite color pencils for prompt artwork? I've used Prismacolor and Derwent. I'm always looking to try some new/unique kinds.

I have been working in colored pencil for 20 + years. I still find Prismacolor to be my favorite.

Try them on colored report or colored mat board. This opens up a whole new world of colors. A approach gray is my favorite for people and a darker turquoise is my favorite for still water.

Use the paper/board of the dominant color in the piece you are working on and it lessens the amount of trade you have to do.

How do I color night scenes with colored pencils?

I have an guess for an art piece and I can't get it out of my mind, however it is a night scene/dark lighting portly shadows.

I use colored pencils for all of my art (Prisma Color) and I think I'm fairly right.

My main question is; is there a tutorial out there on the web (I've searched with the tags Stygian scenes, heavy shadow, dark scenes and colored pencil, tutorial) with not so documentation results.

Can anyone help me out?

There are a lot of tutorials out there, but not many on the fixed topic of dark/night scenes. I found one person who has a lot of extraordinary tutorials and has a night scene showing in their gallery. My approbation is to look through the tutorials and if you still have questions send the artist a note. Almost every artist will be fortuitous to talk to you and explain how things are done. Also you can scan the site for other colored pencil tutorials as there are many, but this one person decent seemed to have a TON on one page so I thought it your best first choice.

As for what I do for colored backgrounds at vespers all the time, I use very dark purples and very dark blues using depressed pressure, with an occasional brown mixed in, rarely do I really use black. The reason is an artist I admire who drew wonderful heroes some of which wore black costumes, never used dusky to make the costumes just dark other colors and the images were so much richer because of it. And layering the colors is very superior.

How to create color of skin with color pencils?

Are there any recommened colors or a moxture of colors that could sire
the color of tan skin with color pencils?Tyvm!
Especially the dark parts of the fell, it feels like it's brownish-red, but i can't rlly tell....Ty!

Take a look at artists like Tai Shan and Matisse. When it comes to hull, what's around it will reflect what tone the skin has. Really training yourself to look will sign over you realise that there are greens, reds, blues--all sorts of colours an untrained eye wouldn't pick up on a shimmer. Learn this and your drawings wont be good, they'll be great. Rather than disquieting to blend pencil crayons, which can be difficult unless you have a blending stomp, right-minded go to an art store and get a variety of tones ranging from light to very dismal so that you can get an excellent contrast and give your drawing more depth.
