How are a raven and a writing table similar?

From Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", Chapter 7 "A Mad Tea Party", the Mad Hatter asks Alice, "Why is a raven like a writing-desk"?
Many answers have been given for this riddle from many people. Carroll himself, though, supplied one in a new preface of his 1896 edition of "Alice." He said "Because it can produce a few notes, tho they are very flat; and it is nevar put with the wrong end in front." Note the spelling of "never" as "nevAr." Carroll clearly intended to spell "raven" backwards. The word was corrected to "never" in later printings, perhaps by an editor who fancied he had caught a printer's error. Because Carroll died soon after this "correction" destroyed the cleverness of his answer, the original spelling was never restored.

I have this math problem, It has to do with a data table, and writing an equation for it.?

Questions like this are hard, to my opinion and I don't know the method of making equations from tables when they skip numbers and don't have a pattern. Please help me, I have to study the method of writing equations from tables like this, it isn;t in my book. Also, how would I sold it if it wasn;t increasing every time? Here's the question:
Dell is selling more packages each day. Using the data table, esimate the number of computer packages sold after 92 days in business.
Days, x ____[16 _ 20 _ 32 _ 36 _ 44 _ 50]
Computers, y [80 92 128 140 164 182]
There's the table, now I want you to write an equation for it and show me each step and method please. Note: the underscores are not part of the problem, i'm just trying to line up the table, and it failed.
Ok, since noboady can come up with an answer, I found it myself, waiting for others to answer it, but you were too slow! Okay, here's the method, and I hope i'm helping others by leaving it here.
Answer: Days-16,20,32,36,44,50
Computers-80,92,128,140,182
Fine the difference of the days, and the computers and you will see that they are not increasing at a linear rate. So..take the difference of the days ex: 20-16=4
32-20=24, etc. Do the same with the computers. The first difference in days is 4 and the first difference in computers is 12. Take 12/4, which=3. Then use the formula y=mx+b. Plug the 3 in as m, this will later be your slope. Since dats is x, reaplace 16 with x and replace 80 with the y, then solve!
so.. 80=3(16)+b
80=48+b
Subtract 48 from both sides to get the b on 1 side.
So you get b=32
You now have you answer of...
y=3x+32

Every change in days produces 3 times that many computers,
so y2-y1 / x2-x1 = 3, so y = 3x + some constant.

It looks like y = 3x + 32.

Can a factory fire someone in illinois for writing on a table that was going to be thrown out the same night?

This factory is getting ready to relocate to another area or out of state and there were several employees that were making a higher wage and they were fired too. What rights do they have and what agency can they file a complaint against the company with?

A company can fire you for any reason they want to, as long as it doesn't involve discrimination of any type. Since you destroyed their property, they had more than enough reason to fire you. Not a good decision when you knew they would be looking for reasons to fire expendable workers.

Cronenberg Progresses Across The Table

It's more than a year since we heard the monogram rumblings of David Cronenberg working on an adaptation of Jonathan Lethem's novel As She Climbed Across the Table . Since then there's been mollify, but it's just been broken with the news that Media Rights Capital ( Elysium ) have picked up the parcel, with Steve Zaillian and Garrett Basch producing, and Bruce Wagner writing the screenplay.

Lethem's novelette involves a physicist, Alice, creating a "nothingness" called The Require. And if that sounds like it precludes Viggo Mortensen starring, fear not! He can play Philip, whose fixed idea with Alice matches Alice's addiction to her discovery. It's a weird love triangle between two physicists and a inky hole (They can use that as a tag-line on the poster, but we want a credit).

Wagner's CV would seem to make him an odd fit for a Cronenberg hurl. He wrote Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, but he's also a novelist with Cronenberg

Supplies for writing: Paper, Tums

My first writing job, rather my first paid writing job, was for a Rancho Cucamonga-based women's journal with the sweetest publisher, who has since passed away.

The assignment just fell into my lap and I had no idea what I was doing.

I happened to be at her shelter talking over a humor essay of mine that she was contemplating printing when one of her staff writers called and canceled on the next day's naming.

She asked if I could do it and without hesitation I said yes.

She gave me the subject's name, where we were supposed to meet, a word consider and sent me on my way calling after me, "Be sure to get a photo."

As soon as I shut my car door that "what the heck did I do?" identification swept over me.

I stopped by the store for supplies: a couple of note pads, pens, Tums, Pepto-Bismal, Immodium AD ...

Should have thrown in some Sominex because there was no way I was getting to repose that night.

I can still remember the boxing match taking place inside my stomach.
